Assumption College students visit General House

On Wednesday, March 7, some 25 Assumption College students led by their professor, Dr. Francesco Cesareo, who is also the president of the university, together with a few professors and administrators, spent the evening at the general house on what was an historic occasion. Fr. Dinh Vo Tran, an Assumptionist on the campus ministry team, also accompanied the group as a chaplain.

With great joy we write to each one of you to share with you a little bit about the meeting of young people of the Assumption Family of South America which just drew to a close; there were 22 of us present: two Religious of the Assumption (RA), two Oblates of the Assumption (OA), four Little Sisters of the Assumption (LSA), and fourteen Assumptionist young religious (AA) as well as formators from the various communities.

Assumption Language Center, Manila – Philippines Providing Contextualized Training

The Assumption Language Center started along side the delegation’s Martin Yen Residence Program for Asian seminarians, religious and priests in July 2009 by providing English language training to the Martin Yen residents. Since then, the center has extended its services to other religious, seminarians and priests of other religious congregations and communities due to a perceived need to provide contextualized language training for this specific clientele.

It's possible...

Once upon a time, there was a group of eight young Assumptionists from Chile (one of them, a religious) who had a dream: to take part in the national pilgrimage of Lourdes in France and to learn more about the Assumption. At the outset, the situation was very difficult for them, given the fact that a trip as big as this one was beyond their means. Nevertheless, God’s help, their own work and the desire to reach their goal pushed them to move forward… Finally, after a great deal of effort, they were successful and set out on their pilgrimage. And now these same young people have returned to share a bit of their experience.
