 FRS. GRIÈRE & CARTON Another capitular priority, Asia was placed on Monday’s program. Three Assumptionist foundations illustrate our will to deeply entrench ourselves on a huge continent that has a considerable importance for the future of the world and the Church. One among us has insisted upon the necessity to sustain the foundations that remain fragile but also concerning the obligation to look further than these first installations. “We must have a view that is long term!”.

 La biblio. du P. d'Alzon This news item comes after a day of interruption! Sunday gave our group a breather. Thanks to Julio Navarro, the appointed organizer of leisure moments before the Eternal One, we were given a day to go in search of Etruscan civilization. The Etruscans were a people of uncertain origin who put their stamp on a part of Italy before the domination of the Latins. We visited Tarquinia about 90 kilometers from Rome under brilliant sunshine, exploring well-colored frescoed tombs as well as the museum which contains many artifacts of that civilization. A break spent at an inn allowed us to savor Italian cuisine, both simple and nourishing.
