PREAMBLE
Emmanuel d’Alzon dreamed of an Assumption made of lay and religious who would bring the Kingdom of God to the world of his time.
It is already so practical to see how the lay and religious people are expressing their charism in their own ways.
The unity that exists among the Assumption lay and religious is already unfolding as expressed in their fraternal life.

After having listened with a lot of interest the fascinating presentation of Father General, Richard Lamoureux, on the path of holiness of Father d’Alzon, and having discovered at this occasion a man who was very “human”, for whom true friendship was a strong value that grew in the face of events that marked his path, we took time to note that the same basic questions traverse our own lives today.

The afternoon of August 25 was marvelous as we followed the footsteps of Father d’Alzon.
The three years of hearing about the life and work of Father d’Alzon during my formation period as a lay Assumptionist, and now being able to see the places he frequented, gives me a sense of solidity, identification with and belongingness to the Congregation. 
Going back in time is to make present the reason for which one is working in the Alliance not only in Colombia but in the whole world where the Assumption is present.
