IMPLEMENTING THE DECISIONS OF THE GENERAL CHAPTER

And is courage not indispensable to everyone who, in the position in which Providence has placed him, wishes to be energetically and in a similar manner a child of God and of the Church?  (Father d’Alzon Day by Day, p. 243)

I.    The invitation of the General Chapter

 “Lay and religious Assumptionists wish to ‘make covenant’ so that the charism of the Assumption can be lived fully.  For both parties, this partnership requires a conversion.  Lay people will have to express this charism in their own way.”  (General Chapter 2005, #102)

To structure, strengthen and live this alliance, the General Chapter considered three things to be priorities:

1)    to define an institutional framework (see #108 to 111);

2)    to develop a formation program (see #112 to 114);

3)    to share the mission (see #115 to 118).

This things should be the subject of regular communication among those who are involved in their realization.
