It is with great joy that we join in the 27th anniversary of the priestly ordination of our Superior General, Father Benoît Grière. May the Lord give him abundant spiritual fruits in the service of our Assumptionist family.

Father Benoît Grière was born on May 22, 1958 in Chauny, in the Aisne. After secondary school in Epernay, in the Marne, he studied medicine in Reims (1976-1985) and, at the same time, began his philosophical formation for the priesthood in the framework of the University Formation Groups (GFU, 1981-1987).

He then studied theology at the Seminary of Reims (1987-1989) and at the Catholic Institute of Paris (1989-1993). He holds a master's degree in theology. He is a medical doctor (DEU in Tropical Medicine - Health and Development; certificate in Nutrition - Public Health) and has a degree in theology. He did his national service in Dakar (Senegal) as a student researcher at Orstom, Nutrition section (1985-1986).

He joined the Congregation of the Augustinians of the Assumption (Assumptionists) in 1991 after completing his novitiate in Sceaux (Hauts-de-Seine) and was ordained a priest in 1995 in Epernay.
