Entebbe Immagine correlata a PGC: Day Of

The initial program for this day of was going to be packed, as many visits were planned. However, a series of mechanical incidents upset the plans: early on, the minibus that was to take us there broke down due to a fuel leak. The other two replacement vehicles that were eventually found had several problems of their own: flat tires, battery failures and even a small accident. But we still managed to visit the site of the palace of the king of Buganda, the most important of Uganda's 5 traditional kings. A guide explained the history of the country in the last 150 years.

It was not until 2 pm that we arrived at the Assumptionist community of Kyabakadde. The welcome from the confreres of the community and the lay people of the parish was very warm. All the members of the Plenary General Council were happy to discover the Assumptionist reality in Uganda. Of course, we visited the parish church which has benefited from several grants obtained by the Development and Solidarity Office.

It took another two hours of driving to get back to our reception center. Everyone was very tired and quickly went to rest.
