The beginning of the morning is dedicated to an update on our Mission of the East: Benoît Bigard presents the current situation of his communities: Jerusalem, Athens, Bucharest and Margineni in Romania, Istanbul, Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and finally Moscow. If the first three seem to be quite solidly established for the moment, the following ones are the object of intense and recurrent reflections: with what human resources and according to what modalities should we pursue our presence and our missions?
Then we move on to an important theme: what changes have become necessary in the structures of the congregation? Miguel introduced us to this reflection. A pre-chapter commission is working on this topic. If everyone agrees that many areas of the congregation are in a very fragile situation, everyone's suggestions on what could be put in place to respond to this situation are still very diverse and far from each other. A consensus is far from being reached!
The afternoon will again be devoted to bilateral meetings. The evaluation of the functioning of the Plenary General Council that was made yesterday underlined the great importance of these meetings that allow the development of collaborations between provinces.
